We have been breeding and working Percheron horses since 1951. My father bought his first Percherons from Chivers, Histon Cambridgeshire; replacing his aging Shires.
We have always worked horses on the farm using them to do the jobs that they are best suited to, for example; pasture maintenance, chain harrowing, rolling, stock feeding and carting.
As a family we regularly take part in Heavy Horse driving trials, ploughing matches and the French Heavy Horse event ‘The Route du Poisson’.
