At Harbridge Farm, we have been breeding and working Percheron horses since 1951. Robert’s father bought his first Percheron horses from Chivers Fruit Farms, Histon Cambridgeshire; replacing his aging Shires.
We have always worked horses on the farm using them to do the jobs that they are best suited to, for example; pasture maintenance, chain harrowing, rolling, stock feeding and carting.
As a family we regularly take part in Heavy Horse driving trials, ploughing matches and the French Heavy Horse event ‘The Route du Poisson’.
We offer
- Courses in all aspects of Heavy Horse use
- Training your horse
- Percheron Stallion, French bred Dahalia D’Egee standing at stud
- A selection of trained Percheron horses always for sale.
- Robert and his son’s Tom and Fred are also trained Farriers
